Country legend Reba McEntire is taking Blake Shelton’s seat on NBC’s singing competition “The Voice,” a woman’s boss sent her a screenshot of read receipts after she didn’t respond on her day off, and Kim Kardashian is rumored to be going after who now?
Radio Radar:
Audacy’s Top 40 station WTDY in Philadelphia has rebranded itself as “The New 96.5,” a Hot AC station, after playing non-stop Taylor Swift songs over the weekend. The stunt coincided with Swift’s three sold-out shows at Lincoln Financial Field. The station’s lineup remains mostly unchanged, with Michael Bennett in mornings, V Hale in middays, Mike Adam in afternoons, and Bru in nights. The new format launched on Monday, May 15th.
Also, Adam Rivers has been named the new Program Director of WKSS (Kiss 95.7), Hartford’s number one hit music station. Rivers is also the PD and host of WKCI (KC101) and 100.9 The Beat in New Haven, so he’s no stranger to Connecticut listeners. Rivers will report to Joey Brooks, who oversees all iHeartMedia stations in the state. Rivers has been in radio for over 15 years, working at stations in Boston, Providence, and Springfield before joining iHeartMedia in 2011.
