Meta, the parent company of Facebook, agreed to pay $725 million to settle a lawsuit accusing it of allowing millions of users’ personal data to be accessed by third parties without consent, stemming from the 2018 Cambridge Analytica scandal. Anyone who’s had a Facebook account since May 24, 2007 can apply for their share of the settlement.
